
Some fashion companies seem to almost completely change their look every season, while many others make more subtle changes from year to year. A great deal of this has to do with the label’s head designer, of course. When a label gets a new head designer, one can expect to see fairly dramatic changes in the next season’s shapes and styles. This is certainly true of Chloe, who said goodbye to artistic director Hannah McGibbon and welcomed Clare Waight Keller last year. Most of the relaxed, feminine handbag shapes we have come to know and love were conceived under McGibbon’s direction, including the Marcie Chloe collection. Keller’s newest work has taken a very different direction, which some Chloe fans love, and others don’t.
